Roles & Responsibilites

Producer (Solve problems. Get things done.)

– Lead and oversee game development teams.

Budget – work with department leads to establish game production budgets. Oversee and maintain active budgets, gather, track, and report on 'actuals'  and current spend amounts.

Schedule – work with department leads to establish game production schedules. Oversee and maintain active schedules, gather information, track team data, and report on current milestones.

Licensor relations – maintain and expand relationships with licensors to develop licensed based titles for emerging platforms. Establish regular communication and feedback loop with licensor and present materials for review and final approval of games in development. Examples of past licensors include Disney / Pixar, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon, 20th Century Fox, New Line Cinema, Sega, Intel, and more.

 

Designer ( Have vision and share it. )

– Create and develop game concepts that incorporate curriculum learning directly into the gameplay.

Creative Direction– Provide the creative direction for games in development. Work directly with engineers, artists and audio leads to determine direction of all elements of game. Refine and tune gameplay.

Documentation – write and maintain comprehensive design documentation that identifies and describes all elements of game titles in development.

Kid-Testing – create kid-testing plans, establish methodology and conduct kid-testing with range of children from target audience throughout the development cycle of the game.

Presentation - Present game materials and incorporate feedback from the Executive staff, International, legal, and marketing department, educational advisors, licensors, development team, and kid-testing.
